Gram Parsons’ daughter celebrates her dad’s induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame:
“I think he would just be over the moon, and he probably would have found the most fantastical outfit ever."

Wrote about Charley Crockett, The Age of the Ram, the idea of outlaw, the echoes of Willie and Waylon, and how you can never escape your past:
Incredibly damaging for civ-mil relations to have horseshit like this
For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law.
Spotted in Nashville this week…
Tennessee's next governor, btw.
This was a special chat: I chatted JTE while visiting some of the most important Nashville spots in his early life/career w/ my dear colleague @joeyblueclaw.bsky.social

Tens of thousands of people across Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana have gone a week without power or heat after a brutal ice storm. At least three dozen people have died in connection with the storm, officials have said.
The most powerful piece of country music journalism I’ve read so far this year.
have you read @marissarmoss.bsky.social's piece yet bsky.app/profile/mari...
I say again, this does not even approach a scintilla of the accountability that is required. These are PR moves.
The people who spent years defending and even lionizing Kyle Rittenhouse and Ashli Babbitt now want us to believe that an unarmed mother in her car and a disarmed nurse were domestic terrorists who deserved to be murdered by law enforcement.
Just shared this one Facebook, because I had to get the words out. Sharing here in case its in any way useful to you.
A family member reacts after a federal immigration officer used a battering ram to break down a door before making an arrest on January 11, 2026, in Minneapolis.
Stunning photos from Minneapolis, including this one by John Locher for the Associated Press. www.theatlantic.com/photography/...
I wrote about Landman ahead of Sunday's season 2 finale, and about the enduring ability of Taylor Sheridan and music supervisor Andrea von Foerster to spin Americana and Red Dirt music into overnight sensations. The story is up now @rollingstone.com

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.
The same people who spent yesterday, and the past five years, insisting a Black police officer who shot an insurrectionist breaking into the Capitol should be prosecuted are today bending over backwards to defend an ICE agent who shot a woman in her car in cold blood.
Scum.
Sickening — the White House has put up a site about 1/6 painting himself as a hero and Pelosi, The Capitol Police, and Mike Pence as the villains.
An attempt to rewrite history before our eyes.

so fun kibitzing about country music with Josh and @joeyblueclaw.bsky.social (he does, lo and behold, have a handle) on RS Nashville Now!
This conversation is a beautiful tribute to Todd:

recapped the CMA Awards with @joeyblueclaw.bsky.social on his podcast - talked a little shit, got a little fired up about Lainey Wilson, dreamed about the Brandi/Sturgill collab, maybe sang Girl Crush (didn't actually do this but it would have made sense in context)

There are few people in my career whom I’ve enjoyed working with as much as Lisa. Visionary, gracious, and unfailingly encouraging. (With some damn fine dogs to boot.)
Would you buy a home from this man? @jonbern.bsky.social would! A delightful profile of one of music's most eccentric geniuses — and L.A.'s premier used-house salesman — Jonny Fritz.
I love hearing Lukas Nelson talk about how he spends time with Willie. It's easy to forget it's his, you know, dad. And the time he devotes to being with him is really inspiring.
I always loved this band. During the hair-metal era, Junkyard had the same grit and, dare I say, authenticity of groups like GNR and the tragically underappreciated Four Horsemen.
If you don't like the Tyler Childers album, you don't like fun. It's really that simple. It is a joyous celebration of music and all its twists and turns, and even gave us some instant-classic catchphrases. Ya goddamn right I'm flexin'.
Rarely does a day go by where I don't replay Dusty Slay's Travis Tritt bit in my head. So, we were thrilled to have him guest on Nashville Now. Check it out:
