cocaine messes with the limbic system, which includes memory and reward circuits. something about the build-up of dopamine in the nucleus accumbens, IIRC. pretty immediately the brain latches on to the stuff it associates with the euphoria it experienced when taking the drug

been reading this really intriguing tracksraoul fic. the author gave Raoul a substance abuse problem,,, and now I really want to see him snort a line off Tracks’ hood 🥴
