Today is the birthday of a legend and the death of a legend and they both enriched my life and probably both have saved my life a thousand times over.

I went record shopping the day before record store day because and such. What a great time to buy a tears for fears
Spring in Seattle.
Watching the hummingbirds working the apple blossoms.
Heading towards Armageddon
like basic beauty of seasons and wings means nothing.
The hardest part of trying to get back into dating in my mid 40s is the same part that has always been hard.
It’s hard enough to find platonic people to discuss the Kabbalah connections within the work of Blake and how those influences translate to some of my favorite artists, let alone romantic.
A perfect song for our decline-

I was working on a poem about living with chronic depression and wanted to get a moment of levity in it but couldn’t find the right spot.
I wanted something like
I swallow feathers washed up in the gutter
Crying, “dear god, make me a bird”
Would have been big for the Gump heads!
Just deleted DoorDash and canceled my account. I love that these companies keep canceling themselves by being bootlickers.
Ticket locked!

After 5 years of not dating I decided to try getting back out there. Signed up for hell, dating website. Marched with someone. Exchanged a few messages. They asked if I like the band Built To Spill and I said yes but prefer Modest Mouse. She said “uh huh, cool.” And unmatched.

Sun and crow bros.
Slaps myself on the top of my head
“This bad boy can fit so many nightmares into it!”
#tfw you’re a NIN fan and you know that only other pigs can understand your joy

A small thing that made my world a little less enjoyable is knowing that Michael Richards wore extra hair while playing Kramer.
He doesn’t really have that high of hair!
I bought myself flowers for my birthday
The best part of turning 46 is making a clever name for my birthday party.
ICE agents posing as TSA agents will definitely make international travelers coming for World Cup feel very comfortable and welcomed to our failed fascist state.
It’s the 10 year anniversary of Man In Tree.
Some deep and powerful Seattle lore.
At some point I lost all of my paintings and haven’t had the space to take it up again. I think I miss this guy the most.
It’s amazing and beautiful but most importantly if you’re ready to cry about the most recent genocide watch/listen to the end-
