a brass thimble with a sun motif

Been hitting the vintage markets recently. Let me tell you - there is a marked and profound difference between a Bookseller and A Guy Selling Books.

Anyways, check out this brass thimble I found. Is it an antique? Or could I buy a dozen of them off AliExpress for a buck? Heck if I know!

but even if a young Mr. Beast was given a bar and he immediately shoved it into his greedy little mouth just as fast as he could, surely, even then, it would break along the score lines

I don't understand how Mr. Beast could not know why chocolate bars are scored. Has he never eaten a chocolate bar in his life? I feel like you could give a Hershey's bar to a five year old and they could intuit why they're like that.

Chapter Black starts off strong, and gets stronger with a terrific, very Jojo fight in a hospital, but then sorta devolves into a boring one-on-one slugfest while people stand around and provide dull commentary. Nothing kills pacing like a protracted shōnen fight!!

My favorite 90s boyband is back with CHAPTER BLACK. Everybody power-leveled super hard during the Dark Tournament so Togashi decided to introduce psychics who can create 'territories' that operate with special rules. Can't just punch your way out of every situation!

2026 will be the 10th anniversary of my game Even the Ocean! To celebrate I'll be re-releasing the OST's unused music as a separate, public domain release, on the next Bandcamp Friday (May 1st).

The great album art is by @anyachalina.bsky.social!

My CEO told me Steel keeps killing his security forces so I asked how many guards he has and he said he just teleports in a new wave of soldiers afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just sending soldiers to recharge Steel’s bullet time and then his CFO started crying.

Save 90% on Severed Steel on Steam An intense single-player FPS featuring a stylish movement system, completely destructible levels, and an acclaimed OST.

Severed Steel is currently 90% off. While I sorta bumbled my way through the main campaign, I'm sure speedrunners and highscore chasers can and have done some sick things with the arm cannon and destructible terrain.

Easy recommend.

Saw a tiktok of some food influencer shoving an entire Japanese cheesecake into his mouth (99% landed on the floor) and was so disgusted I'm boycotting the store out of principle.

Who the fuck pays for some coked-up meathead to manhandle their product like that?

Back to basics... understanding the fundamentals of haiku can help any writer. If you ever see this little booklet at a used bookstore be sure to snap it up, it's a great quick and dirty introduction.

I got this a decade ago, I think I paid three bucks...

Been watching YuYu Hakusho (dub) and having a pretty good time. Two episodes before bed make for a good nightcap. I'm early into the Dark Tournament arc.

My only complaint is it is what it is; a 90s shonen battle anime.

Tales from Earthsea (the film) is worth a watch for the art, the background painters in particular went all out.

Gorō Miyazaki's directorial debut; five minutes into the movie the protagonist murders his father.

As a movie... pretty meh. Both Earthsea and Ghibli fans are going to leave lukewarm.

Finished the Earthsea trilogy last night. Excellent stuff, easy recommendation; everything fantasy should be. As I've been going through my annual bout of seasonal depression, The Furthest Shore hit particularly hard.

Gonna try the movie next, although I've heard middling things...
