Drop the title. No context. Just the book that wrecked you.

âIâll stop after this chapterâ is the biggest lie I tell myself as a reader. đ

Do you write?
I love romance books. What's your current word count?
What genre do you write in ?
Good morning.
What genre do you write in ?
Alright, no problem.
You're welcome.đĽ°
Anytime you're on the lookout for them, you can just let me know.
The comment I sent now is what I saw and I replied with this "That makes total sense, those elements really do make a difference. Do you already have a dev editor, copy editor, and cover artist lined up?"
So I was asking if you have the lined up. Do you get it now?
"If I decided to do a selfpub release, I would need thousands to invest in that book, because I'm spoiled by working with incredible editors on my trad published books. I can't imagine the experience without a *good* dev editor or a good copy editor or a good cover artist, and that's $$$."
Do you have someone giving you feedback on it?
I understand If you don't get it, because I feel you're new to that area.
Would you like us to continue this conversation in DMs?
Just asking If I could be of help if you don't have one.
A developmental editor helps shape the story, structure, pacing, and characters.
A copy editor fixes grammar, clarity, and flow.
A cover artist designs the cover so the book grabs attention.
Do you get it now?
For your book.
Just so you know, if Iâm your editor, my comments will look like:
âOmg if she doesnât kiss him RIGHT NOW Iâm losing itâ
âOkay I see what you did⌠but why did it hurt so bad??â
âTell her the truth already, Iâm begging youâ
âTHIS BITCH!â
âThe audacity⌠I need moreâ

I meant, do you already have a dev editor, copy editor, and cover artist lined up?
đ At that point itâs not a dev editor, itâs a whole council. I get it though. Are you still looking for one?
Thatâs really frustrating, especially when it comes to something as intentional and nuanced as capitalization choices. It shouldnât be something you have to keep correcting. Are you still on the lookout for a copy editor?
That makes total sense, those elements really do make a difference. Do you already have a dev editor, copy editor, and cover artist lined up?
Do you have a copy editor already?
Do you have a beta reader you work with ?
Thatâs such a common challenge, being too close to your own work to see the bigger picture. Sometimes even a fresh pair of eyes (beta readers, critique partners, etc.) can give you that developmental perspective without the full cost.
What's the word count?
Are you still on the lookout for an editor?
When a book gets so intense you have to pause and breathe đThat level of tension?
Thatâs controlled pacing and well-built scenes.
Not rushed. Not dragged. Just right.
If youâre trying to get your story to this levelâŚ
tell me what youâre working on đđ˝

I'd love to hop on this chance if you're still on the lookout.
What about an editor?
I'd love to hop on this opportunity If you're still on the lookout for a beta reader. Are you still on the lookout?
Are you still on the lookout for a beta reader? If yes, I'd love to shoot my shot.
That's amazing! Do you have an editor you work with?
