Late to the conversation, but I'm kind of unbothered by this lack of replication. If the study is not internally valid to begin with, then being able to replicate it only means replicating systematic biases. And something tells me this is likely to be a bigger problem in the literature.
About 45% of pet ownership is walking by them and badly singing little songs that integrate their names. If you can’t do this, then I’m sorry, you are not ready for the responsibilities of owning a pet.

As much as "prediction" in the phrase "statistical prediction" implies something about the future it's actually just about the past. The data was collected in the past and a stats test on the data is about that past data. Maybe it's also true for the future, but that's not what it describes.
