Happy Easter 🐣! A time to remember persecution and suffering, but also radical hope...
Let's keep standing #Together against religious and racial hatred of any kind.
@greenparty.org.uk
What would the Green Party do to help with the cost of living given the crisis caused by the war in Iran? Here's what I told Radio 4's Today Programme:
Looking forward to speaking at this @waronwant.bsky.social and @netpol.org event:
End Zero Accountability: Stop the Crackdown on Protests in London.
It is next Thursday - sign up here: secure.waronwant.org/page/189508/...
Images of letter
I signed this letter calling on British and Irish govs to take action on Israel’s continued violations of international law. Specifically: 1) the issuing of tenders to build a new illegal settlement in Jerusalem, and 2) the Israeli gov’s ban on international NGOs in Palestine.
So excited to launch our local election campaign in London this morning. We’ll soon have hundreds more Green councillors right across the country. This election is Greens vs Reform - if you want hope, join us! Reform have £millions, we have people power and we really need you!
💬 "This election is between the Reform Party and the Green Party. It is a straight up battle between hope and hate"

💚 Vote for hope in #Bradford and let's turn our district Green.
It’s always a pleasure to host my surgeries at Halesworth Library, a community hub at the heart of the town. Across Suffolk and Norfolk, libraries do more than lend books. They play a vital role in rural communities, providing support & connection.
It’s time for the Government to have a concrete action plan to address the backlog and ensure every child gets good dental care.

Great to be out in Bungay and Halesworth again last week.
It's wonderful to see the GP surgery expansion in Bungay, made possible by funding secured by Green councillors who work hard to make a real difference locally.
Green councillors have a track record of listening and getting things done.
Farms are already operating within tight margins, and the sudden increase in fuel and fertiliser costs has added significant pressure. There is a clear case for targeted, short-term support to help farmers manage these immediate cost pressures.
Elected Greens have a track record of being hardworking local representatives, and Sally will be the same if elected as county councillor for Hoxne and Eye area
It was great to be out knocking on doors in Eye with Councillor Lucy Elkin and county council candidate Sally Mittuch.
Lucy is fantastic councillor - her work to bring a post office back to Eye (opening this spring) will make a huge difference locally.
They are particularly interested in the experiences of people who have considered or taken out student loans.

Have you ever taken out a student loan?
Parliament's Treasury Committee, which scrutinises the Treasury & its policies, is conducting a survey on student loans.
They are seeking input to help inform their scrutiny of the student loans system and the taxation of graduates.
That means taxing excess profits & reinvesting the revenue to support communities, while accelerating the transition to renewables to build a more secure, affordable future.
As energy prices rise again & the cost of living crisis accelerates, the Govt must act to protect households & businesses, not leave them exposed when the price cap changes in July.
I’ve joined fellow MPs & 40 organisations urging the PM to tax windfall profits because of the war in Iran. No company should profit from conflict while people face rising bills.
Great to be out again in Halesworth with Cllr Annette Dunning. She has been getting a fantastic response on the doors, a real reflection of all the work she has done in the past five years.

I’m thrilled that after years of campaigning 25 dental students are now going to be training at UEA every year to provide some of the new dentists so desperately needed in the East. We now need the government to put in place the funding & contract reform needed to restore NHS dentistry.
"Hope. Hope with a plan. And that plan starts with the homes people need."
@zackpolanski.bsky.social launches the Green Party's campaign for the local elections.
Reject the toxicity of Reform and end the Labour rot. Vote Green in May.
The @walesgreenparty.bsky.social manifesto is here! 🏴💚
I had a great time at the manifesto launch in Port Talbot on Tuesday. I'm super glad to see free buses for Under 22s and a £1 fare cap in our pledges! 🚌
Inspiring to see so many @younggreens.bsky.social candidates standing this year. 🙌
It was great to tour the new Barsham Water Treatment Works site with Essex and Suffolk Water. Due for completion later this year, it will play an essential role in improving water resilience in the town of Bungay and across East Anglia.
Zack Polanski gives Keir Starmer the fright of his life as greens launch election campaign
This isn't about "frightening Starmer."
This is about replacing them, with hope.
If you want affordable rents, more council and social housing built, and an end to the gentrification of estates, then #VoteGreen this May.
"What we see far too often with Labour councils is they’re building luxury, unaffordable homes that no one is ever going to live in, while communities are knocked down in the name of regeneration."
Green Party leader Zack Polanski on Labour’s record on the housing crisis.
Zack Polanski calls for UK to withdraw trade agreement with Israel after strikes on Lebanon
Israel is a rogue state and our government should treat it as such.
Our Government should have suspended diplomatic and trade relations long ago but if not now, when?
🟢 Janet Russell is seeking re-election as councillor for Airedale Ward
🎬 In her campaign video, she talks about the importance of listening to residents and staying in touch all year round, as well as her work to protect precious green belt land from development.

Donald Trump has threatened that Iran’s 'whole civilisation will die tonight'. This is incredibly alarming.
These threats normalise mass civilian harm, and makes an already volatile situation even worse
Starmer must condemn Trump’s rhetoric and urgently review and remove US access to UK airbases.
