the worst part: the last 1up is in the last stage. i have no way of tracking coins, so, i could pull off the best run ever and still not have enough coins at the very end. that is gonna drive me crazy
in order to pull this off i need to collect 200 coins; when you collect the 50th coin, the next enemy who drops coins will drop a 1up instead; so far i've had consistency on where my three routed 1ups appear, but introducing a 4th one throws things way off
i'm literally 40k points away from beating the highest known Blast Wind score
if i beat it with my current margin, it'll create a 60k gap, but the luck required to pull this off...

another element of scoring that needs exploring is stage 4 boss where you can milk missiles
the perfect run involves getting 6 bombs in stage 1, getting the first coin 1up in stage 3, then two more in stage 4, and playing flawlessly up to the last boss
sometimes a prolonged boss fight might randomly spawn a power up or a bomb, there is no criteria on how, or which you get
this game has several RNG elements, some enemies might not always spawn, some power up carriers might or might not carry bombs, the "slot machine" buttons could spawn coins and throw off your 1up routing, and sometimes the 1up's spawn so low on the screen you get no time to pick em up
no miss cleared Blast Wind (4,861,120), didn't record it and i accidentally reset the emulator during the ending, the score did save in the rankings, but with no initials
i recorded a lower score for posterity
