That has been my experience. Kickstarter has to approve all campaigns before they go live, so as long as you keep the elements in the campaign suitably censored to fit their guidelines you should be given the green light.
Lots of adult comics get Kickstarted. But you can’t have any adult content in the campaign itself. Largely because payment processors are prudes.
