I always used the “light at the end of a tunnel” idiom and mental image to describe clarity about long term goals, but I didn’t think much about the darkness of the long tunnel surrounding it. Looking back this was blissful ignorance.

Can we just stop using BST, CET, EST, PST, etc when setting meetings? Some places have daylight saving, some places don’t and if I don’t add the S it always shows the non-daylight saving time and that’s just confusing. Just tell me which city you are in.
Watching the early survivors' footage out of Gaza -the dead, the massacred, the razed, the destroyed, the ravaged, the mutilated- and honestly, I don't think I have seen a scale of relentless pure evil like Israel's US-backed genocide, the apartheid, and the occupation of Palestine in my lifetime.

15 years ago when I organized the first Game Zanga (MENA/Arabic focused game jam), Ludum Dare was a huge source of inspiration. I don’t think Game Zanga would exist if it wasn’t for Ludum Dare.
Dreams on a Pillow, its crowdfunding success, and how much the game managed to get talked about, prove that games --as all art-- can be crucial communication tools.
