Today marks 20 years since Brian Hagger died. It is hard to know what to write, so I am leaving my fathers social media accounts posts open for questions ......

Today would have been my mother's 92nd birthday. After my father's death she struggled with her birthday as he died on the 18th March. My mother as a big of a part of my fathers art as he was ,he may have created it but she was forever there, encouraging, motivating, caring, believing in him.

As I sat on the bus stuck in traffic on Riverside opposite two people carrying paintings, memories of public transport, travelling with my fathers larger paintings,surfaced. It is 40 years since the Hagger's moved to Norwich and bought a house on Riverside Road.

The painting is Redcliffe Square.

It appears this painting by Brian Hagger is coming up for auction in March ' Chelsea Street Scene' at Bonhams.

Oh Cathy 😢. I miss part of my father when he was well , but he became so very ill mentally and as a result of that physically. As devastating as it was to lose him he wasn't really my father anymore , sadly.
