Album cover for Synthetic Planets by Slipdrive.
My new Slipdrive release, Synthetic planets will be out on November 12th. I made a video for the track Spaceship Construction Yard from it. It's sellotaped stock footage but I'm shit at video, so there we go. youtu.be/hX8xV8jc68E
Brother Francis would absolutely have been played by Eric Idle in the non existent 70s movie
A Canticle for Liebowitz is weird. The first story read to me like a pythonesqe parody of the old Catholic Church, but apparently it's not. The second part feels like a parody of the modern Catholic Church, but apparently it isn't.
I guess I'll see what the third part holds.
I'm at the point where I seriously wish it wouldn't.
Finished The Chimes of Midnight. It was excellent. I think adding the visual aspect to it really gave the story an extra depth and dimension.
The song, "Dancing in the dark", is completely unrealistic. At no point do you hear someone shouting, "OW!", Followed by, "sorry mate".

Well, Jubilee was excellent, so let's see how The Chimes of Midnight fares. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without it.

I'm about half way through, it's a great adaptation and seems even darker in book form.
Enough to turn a colon into a semicolon.
First Blood is still a great movie if anyone was wondering

I saw someone describing ICE agents as Gravy Seals today and it makes me smile whenever I think about it.
That's pretty wild.
I still don't get people who are scared of retirement because they'd be bored. Like, "Oh noes, I can't think of anything to do. I wish I was still working at the cardboard box company".
I could have four lifetimes and still not have enough time for all the things I want to do.
The first episode and intro episode are live NOW at nimonambient.podbean.com
It's also on apple podcasts and amazon. It'll hopefully be live on other platforms by the close of play today (but might not be)
Text of "Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release" with an ADSR envelope at the back.
A new podcast where I talk to other musicians about the act of creating music. The first episode has @causticmf.bsky.social as guest and comes out on August 1st.
I'm releasing this a couple of days early on Bandcamp. It's the 40th Anniversary of the Amiga on the 23rd, and I made an EP with 4 tracks of brand new Amiga themed tunes and covers of the theme tunes to Speedball and R-Type.

There ain't no party like a tupperware party.
I am all over it too, but in a different way.
All over the news is the fact that Microsoft have canned a bunch of studios and made a bunch of layoffs.
Something they literally didn't need to do because they made $88 billion profit last year.
Absolute wanker move by Microsoft there. Big surprise, I guess.
Because of the whole AI warfare startup funding thing, I've nuked my Spotify account and switched to Qobuz. So far it seems better anyway. Nothing was lost.
The preorder for the new album is live. keefbaker.bandcamp.com/album/gfx
The official release date is August 1st but I'll be releasing it a couple of weeks earlier on Bandcamp.

So what's the state of crypto like?
Number 10 is what we're all really here for.
You might as well just put an, "unemployable", sticker on your head.
LinkedIn is an even worse toilet than it used to be.
Got next week off. I have plans. Probably none of them will happen. Standard.
