I think that's all my thoughts? It's lowk tied to my own experiences with being gay, so hopefully people understand where I'm coming from with 3's characterization.

I do want to emphasize that 3's cluelessness isn't cute UwU or whatever. It hurts 8 a lot when 3 acts cold towards her after being intimate. 3 in general has shit to work through.

Their situationship is frustrating. 3 doesn't know fuck all about what it feels to be in love, and 8 doesn't know if 3 would actually reciprocate advances. Their combined cluelessness leads to them doing very intimate activities that, to their friends, makes it very obvious that they're dating.

Headcanon for 8, she's curious about everything really. Like 3, she doesn't really know how to express herself. Unlike 3, it stems from her upbringing as an octarian soldier and subsequent memory nonsense during OE. It's important to me that she takes time to find herself before acting on her crush.

In my head 3 is autistic, straight up. And is really emotionally immature, mostly viewing expressing oneself as something to do in the safety of one's room. I don't think she would be super warm towards 8 for a while. She wouldn't digest her thoughts on 8 til later on. They hang out all the time.
