Around the world, at least 31 democratic leaders who committed similar crimes have been jailed or banned from office since 2010. The failure to hold Trump accountable in the US was a unique and systemic failure of our institutions and political culture.

This really is, I think, an underappreciated outcome of poll watching: election administration is pretty boring to watch, and watching it be boring and fair can increase doubters' faith in local elections!
Get out there and vote! Thank your local poll workers! And remember that a lot of poll watchers are honestly trying to do the democracy thing.
