This is why we always say we are against tech fatalism. Surveillance isn’t inevitable and we need to abolish it as part of our broader struggles for justice.

Honestly same. This plus trying to (re)explain the adderall shortage/manufacturing issues in a professional environment is wearing me out

much of mid-late 2000s diet culture was as bad as what i imaging 80s/90s were, but that period in 2006-2009 where people were obsessed with fiber is something we should revert back to

Trump taking Intel's CHIPS grant money, allocated for manufacturing and research, and converting it to an equity stake, no strings attached, is the opposite of "socialism" or whatever centrist pundits are vomiting out.

It's a $9 billion giveaway to prop up their failing stock.

Intel and other similar takings aren't socialism, they're kleptocracy.

the goal here isn't a sovereign wealth fund it's Putin's Russia

My output-to-quality has felt extremely balanced. I’m pumping shit out in hours/days that normally would’ve taken days/weeks and it’s all been very thoughtful and beautiful work (I’ve even noticed more enthusiastically positive feedback)

I don’t think I’ve ever struck a balance like this before.

I’ve known that I’m good at my job for a long time (even before my current job was my full/time job) but these past few weeks have REALLY shown that to me

I love my boyfriend and our little animals and our cute apartment that looks like a treehouse thats filled with silly little antiques and lego sets that i paid for with money from the job i really enjoy

I’m really grateful about life right now, despite it all. And I wish everyone could have this.

Republicans are taking a page out of the Democrats’ playbook: telling the American people the economy is good while Americans struggle to afford the basics.

I called out Democrats at the time, now I’m calling out Republicans.

People are STRESSED about the cost of things.

I’ve been doing it for 8 years and chose this year to wear red white and blue (in a cunty americana way, as reclamation) and was the only one who did so 😭

I feel like something really stupid is gonna happen on July 4th.

It’s too symbolic of a date for him to not do something extravagantly stupid that day

he’s an Arizona boy like his daddy. some warm pavement on our bare feet doesn’t bother us (but unshaded pavement and any type of asphalt does ❤️)

dogs shouldn’t be walking on 120°+ pavement, that’s a given. however, their paws are also far less sensitive than our feet. walking them in the shade during hot weather is perfectly okay (from experience). they will tell you when they are uncomfortable or in pain.

i really don’t know how to explain to people that my dog refuses to walk in booties, will literally focus on ripping them off his feet, and actually overheat him quicker.
