Oh yeah I've been asking all kinds of people who do creative things for their perspective. It has helped me look at things from different angles!
I think I should emphasize that it's not a matter of needing an audience or people to like my stuff,
it's this nagging feeling that no matter what I attempt, what I feel works, doesn't work
I'm just this D+ tier writer and I don't get how I'm supposed to get any better.
I dunno how others do it in my field where everyone else seems to have at least a couple friends or people they vibe with.
I'm just stuck on this rock.
Day in and day out I'm struggling with creative writing.
Constantly reminded of what I need to work on.
Feel out of place around my peers.
Very much a struggle to see the point at times when I'm clearly so incompetent.
