#5amWritersClub I'm back from my taxes month. I don't do well when I'm not writing.
Today, I'm 10K words less than the 2nd edition I almost published.
Got a chapter 26.47% shorter after a few days of editing. Trying to get momentum going again.

I watched an early full length #sci-fi #movie. They expected babies out of vending machines and flying cars in 1980, but for prohibition to be an issue (lifted 1933). ๐
Going to Mars.
Low gravity: right
Normal atmosphere: wrong
It's hard predicting the future.

I've got a plot point about that when I get around to writing my second book in my series.
Traveling to Asia made me realize how awesome mass transit could be. American exceptionalism gets more ironic by the day.
Layout of colorful 3 round granny squares. I made some of them in variegated yarn and some in solid colors. I did my best to make the colors fade from red at one corner to green at the other. So far its a bit small, so I might add a large border.
My daughter's #crochet spring break WIP:

#5amWritersClub I played hooky from taxes for 4 days and edited a couple of chapters (26.94%, 14.97% shorter).
The chapters already moved quickly before. It's going to be much harder to put the book down. ๐
Back to using spreadsheets for taxes. ๐

A 47" monitor works well enough. I tried 65" and it hurt my neck. ๐ข
These films well deserved their awards and they are so elevated versus the horror of old.
Tokyo? I saw a Statue of Liberty which is about 50 feet from the waterline.
That's going to be the balancing act, getting the promises right, and the spacing. Some are integrated really well already. I know where to put the effort. It'll take several months once taxes are done.
I edited my response a few times.
Sorry that you went through so much.
I did mostly heal after 3 years. Good luck on your healing journey.
Yes I had 15 side effects and consequences from Cipro. I was only disabled a total of 5 months and filtering my blood with machines for 18 months, but it took thousands of hours of research to heal myself. Antibiotics can wreak damage across all body systems. Learned so much about microbiome.
I only have so much patience for reality, so sci-fi is a good fit.
Sure Doomsday is coming, but there's lots of funny moments and intrigue. I'm cross genre at heart, but we'll call it sci-fi thrillers.
Thanks to my dad, I will always remember that a cheetah runs 55 miles per hour. ๐
I've still seen The Last Starfighter enough times that I have a reference to it in my novel.
The fun thing about VHS, recording movies to see later.
I recorded The Last Starfighter to watch it again and I get to the big finale and... The cheetah runs 55 miles per hour.
My dad taped over the ending with some PBS animal show.
I do that with water.
Make it a double, on the rocks. ๐๐
I understand well, although the version of me before Cipro wasn't quite that flexible either.
56, but I often function on 4-5 hours of sleep without caffeine. It's not great.
It all depends on whether I can get back to sleep after dropping my daughter off at school. Looking forward to summer so I can sleep.
Both well-deserved wins and very distinctive films.
Yeah, I have a Pi Day reference in my book. I appreciate such humor. ๐
#5amWritersClub shaved 12.1% off another chapter.
I won't be around as much until I finish taxes. ๐ฆ
Losing a month to complicated tax brings a yearly depression that recasts my life into regrets and makes me feel trapped until writing returns.

I never stopped using wired headphones, not only because of better sound quality, but also one less source of radiation.
I too ditched iPhone over this issue, although later Android forced me to use a dongle. I'm accidentally in style.

#5amWritersClub I was so engaged editing that I forgot to do my daily steps. I just had to walk for 6 minutes, but nope. I just have to edit one more sentence. ๐๐ฒ
Shaved 15.51% off a chapter and onto the next.

#5amWritersClub Why am I 2-4 times more productive than usual?
It's the ADHD superpower: hyperfocus.
It's been so long since I've been addicted to my book. I almost forgot what it was like.
Edited out 499 words. ๐ฒ๐ช๐ #ADHD

I agree with your assessment regarding Jane Eyre. Wuthering Heights is adapted more times for a reason. I don't think we're alone. I've seen every version except the last one.
This blanket is about texture and variety. I started by making a small 5x5 corner to corner square in a gradient yarn to practice the technique, then made a larger C2C rectangle to make a strawberry. I then made some crochet cables from post stitches and a square in the crocodile stitch. I did some wiggly crochet by making a base mesh then crocheting around it almost in zig zag lines. I made 2 flower granny squares and 2 regular granny squares then joined them together in a checkerboard pattern. I played around with beads and crocheted a little swatch. Lastly, I made a few Bruges crochet ribbons and joined them together. This is just the start, and there will be more to come.
My daughter has been building a blanket with a variety of textures that she brushes against my skin to test.
She goes into a lot of details in the alt tags.
Techniques used: corner to corner, crochet cables, crocodile stitch, wiggly crochet, granny squares, beads, bruges crochet.

Agreed.
I thought a white Christmas would be cool. Moved to Colorado with my mom. Shoveling snow after a Christmas blizzard changed my mind. 5 years later, I was back in LA for 9th grade.
#5amWritersClub Edited two chapters (4.56%, 23.52% shorter).
I'm at max momentum, and the edits are flying. Figures that it's time to start taxes on Monday.

They're in the shadows, so readers are used to it and will have more insight into alien politics and why Earth is important in the larger universe and how small details can affect the timeline.
The aliens put their thumb on the scales sometimes.
