Eh'riza had traveled to Eorzea from Sui-no-Sato to have a better life for his sister, Hanari, and his grandmother Kuri. He barely knew the common tongue and could only speak Hingan.

With becoming WoL and meeting Urianger, Eh'riza learned the common tongue through Urianger's tutelage.

Eh'riza is engaged to Urianger and have been engaged since Post SHB. They have both decided that they are not going to get married until Eorzea is reasonably safe.

It doesn't matter if it took years. They are already bonded. They only have to make it official.
