At that point you’ve basically seen all you need to see. No loose threads

Watched Akira (1988) for the first time since 2004/2005. I forgot 98% of what happens in the movie. I remembered it being gross, but forgot how violent it was too. Especially forgot the weird ending. Anyway it’s a good movie
I broke my slinky so now I can only use it on ramps
The Battletech Booty Boys, they’re called
Shampoo for my real friends. Real poo for my sham friends
Congrats! Also, that is also a very nice suit colour
I love to store things in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight
Watching Citizen Kane now is less about watching a highly influential cinematic classic, and more about discovering how The Simpsons writers got inspiration for about a dozen different jokes all from the one movie
Hello, ambulance? One to Iain’s place please
Baby Bunting Customer Pick Up sign, but there’s a street light post in the way of part of the P and the I and C in “Pick” so it looks like it could be censoring “Fuck”
That’s where they put all the dads who ask stupid questions

Other errant Cars universe thoughts, part 2:
Luigi and Guido are gay and in a long term relationship. It’s nice that the small rural town of Radiator Springs is so accepting of them
Other errant Cars universe thoughts, part 1:
The Cars universe is way too reliant on forklifts. Pit crew, computer users, guitarists and keyboardists… for a world built by and for cars, one would think there should be better accessibility for fine motor skills (haha) by bigger vehicles too
Did you know that they made Cars 3 in 2017, and it was a legacy sequel? 11 years between 1 and 3 is too short a gap for a legacy sequel if you ask me
You too, huh?
Writing a letter to everyone I know, apologising for the way I was 5 years ago. Repeating that every 5 years
The way the fabric lined up has turned Mr Tickle into a Del Toro-esque nightmare creature
The alt text also refers to the bread as “toast” so I think Chris’ electricity went out while he was cooking
Accolades The Fly was nominated for the awards in the chart below. Many genre fans and film critics at the time thought that Jeff Goldblum's performance would receive a Best Actor Oscar nomination, but this did not happen. Gene Siskel subsequently stated that Goldblum most likely "got stiffed" out of a nomination because the older Academy voters generally do not honor horror films.
He was so good. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Academy Awards are bad, and their voters have moral failings
The Fly (1986). What a gross movie. Positively festy. 5 stars
Breakfasts of London
I'm very glad you've been relieved of Parcel Anxiety
Remember when Iain had a tiny mouth
Just watched Godzilla Minus One. Pretty good. They made Godzilla scary and that was a good choice. The human drama was really well done and you’re not always asking “Where’s Poochie?” when they’re happening, which is rare for a kaiju movie
That would make me pretty ticked off, I gotta say
Mine is incredibly tasteless

Oh man, dream continuity would be so neat
What’s the average number of dreams people have where Weird Al comes to your town and you hang out with him before a concert? Because I’m probably doing it the normal amount of times per annum
