60 Organizations Oppose EOIR’s Interim Final Rule on Appellate Procedures for the Board of Immigration Appeals - KIND KIND and 59 partner organizations oppose EOIR’s new appellate rule, warning it undermines due process, harms unaccompanied children, and risks wrongful removals and increased court backlogs.

A new federal rule could make it much harder for unaccompanied children to appeal immigration court decisions. Shorter deadlines and limited review put children at risk. KIND & @theyoungcenter.bsky.social joined more than 60 organizations urging it be withdrawn.

A child's place of origin should never determine how good or respectful we treat them. They deserve to feel seen and heard, regardless of where they come from.

Tan graphic with text overlay. The heading says "In Their Own Words: Testimonials from our Volunteer Child Advocates". Below that in the center of the graphic reads the quote from Kaitlin Decker, a Phoenix Volunteer Child Advocate stating "My dream for unaccompanied immigrant children is that they will have the opportunity to achieve their own dreams. The first kiddo I worked with loved architecture and was content to spend our time together drawing complex house designs. I hope he’s building something beautiful today, whether in architecture or wherever his curiosity has taken him. He and others I’ve worked with have felt really alone and so my dream is also that they encounter kindness, community, and support in this world." The Young Center full color logo is placed at the bottom center.
