On this day in 2009, 17 years ago, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky was first released on the Nintendo DS.

It was the first enhanced version of a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game and added more dungeons and Pokémon, as well as special Story episodes

I do not have major plans for her, with Carmelita herself being a part of the world, rather than a major actor. In creating her, I was inspired by Ms. Briar from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as by the roles that the teachers in modern Persona games occupy. Obviously without the exaggerations.

Her own little story is mainly through her past, with her future and current life being one of motion and constant change. She is a blank canvas in her own life, with people being the connecting factor. Something she herself aims to understand and write more of.

Her design does lead a little into the overtly attractive and purposely leans into sex appeal, which is entirely fine and normal for the project. I think it is important to be able to depict a character shamelessly, as a character's appearance, and that which surrounds it is very important.

She really isn't meant to be all too grand or much of a major character, really. The academic setting needed staff members, and Carmelita fills a role there. She serves a purpose, to function as the one behind a position that will influence a character or two, and also to fill the world.

Today is April 16th, which beyond being the day when my soon to be second personality dropped, is also another Gostiva birthday! This time, it's Carmelita's!

Carmelita is honestly a character that best exemplifies the rule of belonging in the world that I write.

It is Stella Saturday

Valentine was made out of hope.
Zara was made for a second chance.
Lei was made out of wishes.
Clíodhna was made out of love.

And Mayu was made out of desire to create.
Had I not created her, the rest of Gostiva probably wouldn't have happened. She is just that important.

Her circumstances and self have led me to be able to create so much around her that stands alongside her. I am overjoyed to have her be a permanent part of the project, as her origins have allowed her to be the driving force forwards.

Being a part of the original five, I'll admit she does get some preferential treatment over others at times, but she is one of the singlemost important things in my life. Mayu Kazenaru is a character that helped me learn design, writing and structuring properly.

Writing her more made me realize just how well I made her and how much she holds up. With newer and newer creations, she does her role well and doesn't feel outclassed or crept for attention.
Gostiva itself does not have a main character, with each of them being their own main characters.
