I’ve said it before, but sometimes the pundit class sabotages itself via its own addiction to nuance. It’s hard to write a novel and interesting thinkpiece at this point on the premise that Trump is just a deranged narcissist gangster, even though (and indeed, because) that’s just obviously true.
I genuinely struggle to imagine the minds of people who could live through the last year and a half and somehow still believe that liberal arts professors are the primary problem facing 2026 America - I struggle with that more than I do with imagining what it’s like to be an octopus.
Every day that passes without Trump being removed from office is another day that Republicans in Washington are choosing to abdicate their moral and constitutional duty to the Republic.

Something Kevin’s recent pieces have flagged for me is the sneaky veil of ideological compression involved around “AI” in critical discourse and not merely in the obvious hype cycle.
