It's amazing how much my mom and aunts rationalised until the "youths" called him out and had to explain to our moms that all the things he did to them were ABUSIVE AF. Public humiliation, pitting them against each other to be the thinnest/prettiest, controlling all aspects of their lives, beatings.
He's never been a pleasant man to be around, but I didn't know until after that incident just how AWFUL he'd been to his three daughters (and continued to be). My cousins and I insisted on cutting contact, and my mom and one aunt agreed. Sadly, my youngest aunt is stuck under his influence.

One of the saddest parts of being a late diagnosed #ActuallyAutistic person is discovering how many people who have known you for years would rather believe you’re being intentionally rude than accept you just didn’t understand the social situation.
i am less convinced that AI is going to replace jobs than i am that companies are going to cut jobs on the premise of AI replacing them and then hire those people back as contractors for less money and fewer protections, because that’s what’s happened a *lot* in the last 20 years.

Listened to a podcast episode this morning about a Talia Hibbert book, and the three American women really showed their ignorance because they thought “Adofo” was a strange last name, they thought only people from northern UK said “arsehole”, and I guess all English people must sound posh???
