Have made a nuisance of myself and mobilised 75 neighbours to object to a wholly inappropriate building development.
Now the council want to talk to me.
They’ll regret that…

Still waiting for my kitchen to stink and be full of maggots what with my new food scraps bin and all
Imagine, as a teacher, not turning up to your lesson.
Imagine getting on a train for it not to be able to leave because they can’t find the member of staff…
Yeah, I’m well aware it’s very touristy now. Still, never seen and happy (ish) to partake. Weather is glorious!
Off for a belated Mother’s Day trip to London courtesy and with Smells.
Doing Camden Market and some other bits we’ve never done before.
Bloody hard to get there now - 2.5hrs and 2 trains. Use to be under 2hrs and direct. Still paying more though
Second observation today.
I mean, c’mon!!!
Behaviour management strong though and our learning environment is amazing.
She is so far.
It’s so hard - what are you looking for?
It’s such a joke.
I love teaching and my school; we’re just so beholden to OFSTED some can’t see the wood for the trees
It wasn’t even that; more like 5!
I do love observation feedback.
“We didn’t see you do this thing, ergo you can’t do it”
Honestly, it’s just an entirely differently vibe.
I just can’t get over the pernicious effect OFSTED has. That being said, choices were made to do those things on the first day of term and not 100% certain I can blame OFSTED for that
Thank you ❤️
I worried so much, but she’s worked hard and I’m so proud of her
You know what; things are 100% better than what they were at old school so I hate to complain.
It’s more the bonkers nature of OFSTED-evidencing that drives me mad
Form this morning.
Me: “Morning chipmunks. Missed your faces!”
Them: “You’ve not grown then?”
Gotta love year 10
After lots of worry, given the graduate job market, my girl started her job today (in between finishing uni off).
£12k more than I started on; and that’s *exactly* what I wanted for her.
I can’t say much about what she’s doing, but it aligns very well with our core values.
I am in awe ❤️
Where leadership select books and have a look for quality of teaching and learning…
To quote the kids ‘they’re doin’ too much’
Day One:
Learning walks, observations and book looks.
My fave part about being in a street WhatsApp group is the terrible parkers complain about the terrible parkers and then get tickets
I’m still looking to leave. Trapped by salary now
If someone had told me I’d end up spending £40k and 4 years training to then spend 15 years (so far) constantly converting lessons from one MAT style to another I would have seriously thought twice.
Almost an egregious waste of time as that primary display board nonsense.
Picked up new specs today from specsavers. Honestly can’t fault their service, especially the time their optician spent listening to my wonky eye issue.
Trailing baby varifocals and have had a tint out on as wonky eye issue means I’m now light sensitive. Game changer already!!
I had to remove a dinosaur poster I had. Couldn’t get anything out of the kids except question or comments about dinosaurs. I teach secondary and the questions were right up to year 11.
Hated taking it down as loved their enthusiasm, but…
Displays are utterly pointless. But kids do like seeing their work up or the weird little drawings they do for me, so they go up 🤷🏻♀️
LinkedIn: We have a great job for you!!
Salary: £25k
At some point I suspect they will
It’s just disappointing. I very rarely get to see niche films because they’re always scheduled like this - always in the day
Gutted the Underland film has a limited release. Both screenings near me are in the day next week
