I’m trying to work it out, but I’m struggling and may just end up scrapping it

I’m hoping to get back to art again soon!

Recovering from a broken ankle is taking longer than I expected tbh (I never broke a bone before)

But, I should be out of my boot in 1-2 weeks, so hopefully my motivation comes back and I can get back to creating art soon!

My lil sis getting into the same stuff I am/previously did is amazing and I love encouraging her and talking about those things with her!!!

But, they randomly get motivation to do a really long and difficult piece on one of their own characters

Like, should a client be upset at the artist if they do a better / different style on their own personal artwork occasionally rather than the art they commissioned?

Should an artist feel guilty / are they at fault for putting more time, effort, and dedication towards their own personal art rather than their commissioned?

And not like where they’re putting NO effort into commissioned work. They still work hard on those commissions…

I’ve been a silent follower for awhile, but I just have to say this is beautiful!!! Absolutely love their design!!!

This was my first drawing on Procreate Pocket and I’m happy to report it’s not AS bad as I thought it would be!

Worst part is my hands cramp more cuz it’s an iPhone, but it’s okay!

So I will be continuing to work on art/adopts/commissions while I save up for a new iPad!

My lil sis wanted her first character so this is what I made her!

She named it Chicken cuz she’s goofy like that and I absolutely love her for it!

Going to attempt Procreate Pocket despite having to using my finger to draw with it

I found out an iPad isn't as expensive as I previously thought, so I'm going to try saving up.

So far this year:

- Break ankle (first broken bone ever)

- Paternal grandmother who I was close to passes

- Insurance fucks over your fiancé and he may not be able to get insurance again this year

- iPad dies so can no longer create digital art

I draw digitally, rarely ever traditionally because it’s easier on my hands, and it’s what I’m more passionate about. Losing that for who knows how long is extremely discouraging and makes me just want to genuinely give up on art/drawing as a whole.

I might just actually be done with art and drawing. I’m not going to lose all my skills because I can’t draw for god only knows how long.

Waking up to my iPad, officially dying, and then finding out that the same program I use on it I can’t use on my phone because it doesn’t support Apple Pencils on iPhone ONLY is just a wonderful start to my day.
