A child after my own heart. There’s a call and response for cozyboy life, like there is at Mass (I forget what that’s called).
“How cozy I am.”
“Let us nestle in peace.”

The moon is broken, and the sky is cracked. But we can still make something beautiful, together. Come on up to the house. <3

Someone pointed out that any hand gesture for giving someone something is always palm-up. You don't give your heart with your palm down. That's not what that means

Thoughts of this rug consume me. Why does the pattern repeat? That’s bananas. Why does the elephant live in a desert next to a ball of yarn? (Click to see the whole thing.)

Got work up at Another Chicago Magazine a few months back and somehow missed it? Anyways, here is a scan I did with asemic writing. I love what the editor paired this with too. Big thanks!

New poem came out in As It Ought To Be MagazineBig thanks to Chase. It was a difficult poem to write, in part because it starts off funny (my toddler only collects brown fall leaves! we live in New England!) but then goes to a dark, dark place. The dark place happens offstage, but t/w nonetheless.

I love a good diminutive but don’t love a diminutive as the full, proper name. I just mean names that are like:
Kay
Sage
Lee
Neil
Jane
Anne
Brett

Not to be a grinch, but the Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol sucks ass in a bad way. I love PatStew in TNG, obviously. And comparing to The Muppets versions is setting yourself up for dissatisfaction. But I’m right. It has no warmth. Boring AF. It’s route. The transformation scene is embarrassing.

Also! And sorry to be so hung up on this—I genuinely didn’t feel like being genuine? I wanted a surface-level interaction genuinely so that’s what I did?

I wasn’t particularly genuine with the chatty bagger the other day. But I was still nice. Because I’m not a POS.
