To be fair, the request was for bad takes, I think you nailed it.

Someone just caught Artemis II from their flight.

It's Trans Day of Visibility today. If you're trans and are raising money for something (I don't care what it is), reply to this thread and I will boost you.
If you are a cis person, take a look and find someone to support if you can.
Everyone give this a share after.
I thought this was an Archer poster at first glance π
That's exactly what put me off of it.
my kid came home from kindergarten today and announced she was setting a trap to catch a leprechaun. apparently other kids at school always end up with candy and treats in their annual leprechaun traps, so sheβs pretty stoked to see what she gets. I am begging other parents to fucking cool it
#Firefly animated series set between season 1 and the film in the works! They're campaigning for a home. #BringBackFirefly
The American political class is utterly delusional, adrift in a dream of normality, unable to process the actual reality of events on the ground, where the US just launched a completely unprovoked war against a massive country, murdered its leadership, and demanded its conversion to a vassal state.
When my dad was stationed in Germany, I started kindergarten on the base. That's where all of the military kids went.
I got the XL size which do fit my size 12 feet very comfortably.
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at todayβs ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch π. @maddow.bsky.social
A Pennsylvania parking lot with 3 week old dirty snow piles.
C'mon, you know you miss this π
(I have enjoyed the snow this winter, but I'm ready for these three week old piles of icy slush to melt. We need some rain.)
get the kid in the brown hoodie a scholarship
I have a new post at Techdirt that is both a look back at just about everything I've written about Section 230 since its 20th birthday, and a crash course in how it works and why we need it.
So many shitheads out there claiming that every heterosexual male lusts after teenage girls. No we don't. Stop projecting that shit onto me
one thing that would be cool, when prominent creators turn out to be terrible people, would be if we didn't have to go through this performative dance of insisting that their work was never good in the first place.
I loved it. Watching those two together is just a delight.
i think if you post like this without offering concrete steps people can take to prepare for and respond to interference or without any acknowledgement of the success (or lack thereof) of this strategy then you are basically engaged in voter suppression.
Let's do this.

A lot of us patrons watched it yesterday, which is a nice perk.
It belonged to us first.
I feel you, my birthday is January 6.
Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.
It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.
Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.
Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.
I'm American (obviously), but I'm down with the ridicule we receive for our dumb Imperial units. Pounds, cups, miles it's all silly. So I think that makes me more defensive about Fahrenheit, because unlike those others, there's no reason to switch to Celsius. Both are subjective for weather.
That's why I've wondered why countries that made the switch to metric always switch to Celsius for weather. It's one area where it really doesn't seem worth the trouble.
Ah, I see. I'd say a scale with a bigger range of realistic temps is slightly better for weather but that's hard to separate from the fact that I'm most familiar with fahrenheit.
Same applies to you. There's no objective standard for weather like there is for other measurements, where metric is clearly superior. My Aussie friends mention how their forecast will give the F temp when it gets really hot, because 100 just sounds much hotter than 38.
It's a far better scale for weather than Celsius.
