I‘m so looking forward to the second one about Yamilet‘s brother as well.
CN: The books involves some heavy themes mental health wise - so to not give away spoilers I‘d recommend to read up on it if you think that might be not the right time for you to read it.

be as great as well so it makes sense I spend hours on this - and it didn’t disappoint! I was invested to see where Yamilet’s path would take her.
This is such a great example that Young Adult doesn’t mean the novel is any less than the ones about adults.
“The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School“ was so good I started to carve fan art of the main character Yamilet (a version of the cover), a queer Mexican American girl who has to transfer to a catholic school with her brother, after listening to 1/4. Then I really hoped the rest of the novel would

I made a #LinoPrint for the wonderful sapphic YA novel “The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School“ by @sonidoreyes.bsky.social .
a great mix of a tender and bold romance, the love of siblings for each other, closeted teenagers, family dynamics and the lived reality of se*ism, homophobia and racism.
darker/more serious topics/mental health, but I was also really into:
If tomorrow doesn’t come by Jen St. Jude
Thirsty by Jas Hammonds
We are okay by Nina LaCour
Mistakes were made by Meryl Wilsner was one of my favorite sapphic books 🤗 adult, age gap - but I know some don’t like it so much, but I loved how it had a tiny bit different vibes. I read it so fast …
If you still recognize me by Cynthia So - YA and got so interesting as well, especially with topics I didn’t think it would touch at the beginning.
I recently liked the lesbiana‘s guide to catholic school - very intersectional and interesting! (YA, romance)
• Zwischen uns die Wolken (Camp Rainbow nr. 2) by Alicia Zett (german)
• The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes
• The Long Game (Game Changers nr. 6), Common Goal (Game Changers nr. 4) (re-read) & Role Model (Game Changers nr. 5) (re-read) by Rachel Reid
• The Raven King (All for the Game nr. 2) by Nora Sakavic (Trigger Warnings should be taken into account for this novel, the series isn’t romance or cozy)
• A Daddy for Cooper (Foxwood Hollow nr.2) by Emory Winters
• Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers
• Meeting Millie (Oxford Romance nr.1) by Clare Ashton
I chose the first free books for the Trans Rights Readathon in March:
• Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars by Kai Cheng Thom
• Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe (grafic novel)
• Homebody: A Graphic Memoir of Gender Identity Exploration by Theo Parish (grafic novel)
March read with 12 covers of queer books, they’re listed in the thread
I‘m surprised how many good books I read in March.
8 of them were audiobooks and 2 grafic novels.

@moonbooks.bsky.social (They also made the illustration) recommends Cemetery Boys - which I also already read. And even tough the topics are a little darker in that YA novel it was a comfort read for me.
a whole club for fake dating - in case the trope is liked 😉
At some parts a tiny bit unrealistic, maybe theatrical - but I can go along with that.

coming out in your late 30ies, courage, queer joy and community.
The representation of a genderfluid and trans person (Atlas) is very interesting!
Art and book recommendation in front of the black background by @moonbooks.bsky.social .
The story has a medium angst level (the trope hurt & comfort is done in an interesting way), a high spice level and is one of the kinkiest books I reviewed.
I like the emotional growth of characters, the balance between hot scenes and other serious topics like

Miles and especially Atlas crash gender stereotypes in quite a cool and at the same time sensitive way!

The representation of chronic pain, anxiety, being a se* worker, trans, aromantic, polyamorous is done quite well in my eyes and didn’t feel forced.

I like how realistic and cute their ways of communicating with each other are: They try to take care of each other and make up for it when they aren’t perfect.
The non-monogamous part of the story is evolving in a great way and Bryce‘s crush for his roommate is adorable.

It was such a pleasure to watch Grace deal with her autonomy, her body, being more herself in every step of the way, standing up for herself, staying in contact with her friends, society in general. In a very honest and raw way.
