Only 5% think Brexit has worked. Two-thirds of Gen Z want a rejoin referendum. The Brexit settlement is dying in real time - and the only party honest enough to say so is the Liberal Democrats.
Closer to Europe. Stronger at home. It really isn’t complicated.

A graph that is very old at this point but it's a prediction every year for the uptake of solar panels... And each prediction is basically flat and then you check the reality and its logarithmic up.
Well that was easy
A great turnout at the Otter Valley Association (OVA) river catchment action event last week, in Ottery St Mary.
I am continuing to help bring together OVA with South West Water and the Environment Agency for action on the polluted River Otter.
In 1984, WH Smith sold computers between the pick 'n' mix and the stationery aisle. You could buy a Spectrum, a bag of cola bottles, and a protractor in one trip. The 1980s high street was a lawless place.

Donald Trump post threatening Iran, saying “a whole civilisation will die tonight.”
After Trump's latest shocking threats, Keir Starmer faces a choice.
Withdraw US access now to UK air bases, or risk letting British soil be used to commit war crimes.
Nobody destroys a country faster than its pig-headed self-styled "patriots"
Screenshot of a post by Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump): “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Threatening war crimes and mocking Islam isn't a sign of strength, it's a sign of weakness.
The PM should rule out UK forces and airfields being used for any attacks on Iranian civilian infrastructure.
What more will it take for Starmer to call off the Royal Visit Trump craves?
Russell Group of universities debunks Home Office claims that student visas are being 'abused to claim asylum'. Statistics used to justify the emergency visa brake on Afghanistan, Cameroon, Myanmar & Sudan repeated by BBC were misleading as HO now accepts.

Meanwhile, interviewers all appear to be missing this story - a much better use of the North Sea than drilling for more oil.

Partly because of circumstances in my own family right now, this article really resonates. The shift from "dying of..." to "living with..." a long-term life-threatening illness is a positive result of advances in clinical science, but I think perceptions in society are still trying to catch up

A long shot - are there any former #PAFEC employees here? If so, and you haven't had the email, I have details about the 50th anniversary reunion.
Jesus, they weren’t bloody joking.
Yes, me too. They seemed fairly common then.
I'm hoping I might hear one or the other in Ottery to celebrate my first spring here. There are a couple of very vocal owls nearby, a woodpecker and the obligatory pheasants. It feels like cuckoos or curlews might be around - I live in hope. I don't think I've heard a cuckoo this millennium.
I watched this episode a little while ago, courtesy of the excellent Network DVD box set. Two things seem very strange to 2026 eyes ... the need to wire a 13A plug before using the toy and seeing fake snow sprayed on the inside of windows. Things have certainly changed since 1979/80!

Nigel Farage cheered on Trump’s illegal war on Iran that is sending petrol prices and energy bills through the roof. Now he says he wants to cut your energy bills.
This is just Farage’s latest con. Just like Brexit, he peddles his lies then leaves the British people to pick up the tab.
