I initially intended her to be called "Andy," and in my earliest conversations with friends about her I referred to her thus. I don't know when she made it clear she wouldn't like that, but she did, so while she toys with calling herself that early on she abandons it quickly.

Andrea was named Andrea because I really liked Reboot when I was a kid and thought the character Andrea was pretty. Her last name, Maxwell, came from the coffee brand Maxwell House because coffee's important to her.
