Every time Matt Damon takes on a period role he ends up looking like a third baseman for the Phillies.

My deck for Prerelease didn't fare well, but it inspired me to make a Mardu Spellslinger deck for Commander as soon as I got home around Opus and Repartee...

It's like Kirkland's Brand Prowess.dek

I just had a positively unhinged idea for a Michelin Star dessert(?)

Rendered Iberico ham fat, emulsified into Acorn nutmilk.

This is your "cream" for a fig custard base, to be turned into a creme brulee topped with maple sugar and crumbled Iberico bacon jam.

Disclaimer: I do not work for WotC, I am not in contact with anyone who does work for WotC, and this is not based off any substantial evidence. It is strictly a tinfoil hat theory.

If it happens to be right, WotC should send me a free Collector box or something.

This allowance to be used solely for ANY-colored pips allows the mechanic to be both forward and backwards compatible without having to allocate consistent design space to it, but still introduce the new color to the game without feeling like 20 years of missing design in adding a new color.

No effect can allow Purple Mana to stay in your mana pool when steps or phases end. It is ephemeral, it goes away if it is not used (and maybe even burns you if you don't use it... a reason to bring back an old mechanic.)

Purple Mana can then be used EXPLICITLY to pay for color pips. No colorless, no generic. ONLY color pips (so, if you had a White Liliana Planeswalker and a Black Liliana Planeswalker, it could pay for EITHER option without being declared when generated.)

The teased Archaic reduces costs of Instants and Sorceries for cards in graveyard.

So my theory is:
There will be cards in Reality Fracture that generate Purple Mana when spells are cast for less cost than their CMC -- whether that is from the spell being copied or from discounts.

3 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

With all those evidences aside, WHAT is Purple Mana going to be?

It's going to be an ephemeral mana of potential -- we see tons of effects in Secrets of Strixhaven related to reducing costs: Affinity, Cascade, Storm, Miracle, and the sudden return Casualty, all ways to cast spells for less mana.

Fourth: The Purple mana symbol showed up in Time Spiral/Planar Chaos on icons of Future Shifted cards. What better way to tie Reality Fracture to that, than this nod?

Fifth: We've heard several times before Purple Mana was something they wanted to do, but just couldn't find the space to do it.

Third: There has to be a reason this is 6 CMC, when all other instances of Converge have specifically been 5 or less.

Why do I believe it's going to be Purple Mana, finally, after all this time?

First: Reality Fracture is pretty heavily paralelled to Time Spiral/Planar Chaos as it is already.
Second: We already know we're getting color-shifted versions of Planeswalkers, like the White Liliana.

I've got an absolute tinfoil hat theory for what the teased "new mechanic" in Reality Fracture "that is a mechanic we never could figure out how to do before" (MaRo's slightly misquoted words). But bear with me here, because this is a fucking doozy.

We're finally gonna get Purple Mana.

Seeing the Thanos promo makes me want WotC to make a Bridgerton Secret Lair, where "Farmer George" is depicted on a Swords to Plowshares card.

I'm sure they could make a phenomenal drop.

Lady Danbury as Mangara the Diplomat.
Queen Charlotte as one of the Marchesas.

Cursive was introduced to combat repetitive motion injuries in long form writing, when assigned papers/reports/etc. were all handwritten. It was done to protect kids' health.

Unless you're banning computers/typed papers, this is a silly bill.

Cursive was to reduce repetitive motion injuries from long form writing. It got phased out because we started typing papers instead.

This is a silly bill unless they ban typing research papers and reports in high school along with it...which is also kinda silly.
