Im just. so confused and shocked. like how did we even get here. I applied here because I wanted a calmer salon environment where I could work on dogs gently and slowly, not like insane corporate standards. but now all of a sudden they're not only okay with animal abuse, they're DEFENDING it??

Next day I come in, A's car is there. i call manager asking wtf is going on. she said A felt "bullied" and threatened to sue. Manager is trying to collect evidence to fire her but so far "sees no reason to."
1 week later, groomer A is still working there, groomer B has had hours cut. Might be fired.

A got snarky with B the next day and B absolutely went off about how aggressive A is with the animals. A pouted, waited, and then walked out after all her dogs had checked in, with a dog STILL IN THE TUB. We did them all and left 2 hours late. Manager texted all other staff ensuring they DIDNT help.

tl;dr new groomer ill call A got hired. was immediately way too rough with the animals and was shown by multiple people how to be gentler. Groomer B saw her abusing a dog and called the manager. manager said they saw nothing and got mad at B, brushed it off, has made no effort to do anything else.

Very quickly went from "wow this is the best pet industry job ive ever had, this salon is amazing :)" to "i wonder if im typing up a letter of resignation tomorrow" in the span of like 4 months and im so heartbroken about it.

It just sucks because again the game has honestly been really fun. It's been a huge timekiller for me during the winter storm and I've made a few cool friends in the server. I'd hate to see such a fun concept and community thrown away just because the devs couldn't drop AI.

Still not sure what to make of Aniimo. I've had an absolute blast during the closed beta test and I think that the core gameplay is really fun.

However during the latest Q&A I wasn't really happy with their answers about AI usage. It might just be the language barrier, but it sounds very avoidant.

Finally, thank god. I haven't been super active in the furry scene lately so I actually had no idea how large it had gotten, but I've seen people get brushed aside for bringing up EE for years.

Also the super vague hint at "ongoing legal matters" is so shifty. It makes it sound like they're taking it seriously by going after E-E in some way, when in reality either nothing happened and they're just using it as an excuse, or E-E took some legal action against them, not the other way around.

100% the only reason anything happened this time is because the social media shitstorm was just big enough for them to worry this time. It really feels like they just went "ugh I guess we HAVE to do something this time 🙄" more than anything.

I went to twitter for like 5 seconds just to post my kitten's gfm and immediately got SWARMED by bots, god I remember why I left

He's been a little trooper for sure though. Pustules, scabs, an abscess, multiple drainages, severe diarrhea, and now a very nasty bout of ringworm. He's never been lethargic and eats well though, so I'll keep fighting as long as he is!

My vet has been absolutely incredible about trying to reduce costs and not charge stuff when able, and I'm so so thankful for them. Since Beep was handed directly to me I'm not fostering him with the backing of an org or shelter, so everything is out of my pocket.

Had to take the foster kitten to yet another 1am emergency vet visit. Thankfully didn't end up being too serious, but it was $241 on top of the previous $99 and $45 visits.
