Yeah, theyre 30-y.o. books written for young teens, but theyre surprisingly heavy. Themes of relationships changed by war, sacrifice, brutality, loss, suicide, succumbing to the thrill of killing, becoming the monster when the tide turns in ones favor, seeing loved ones hurt by ones poor decisions.
I finished reading the #Animorphs series by @kaaauthor.bsky.social today, and Oh The Feels™. It was a good ending, bittersweet. It was fitting for each protagonist.

I'm thinking the same thing abt myself. I just went through a break-up last week. Early on, I told the guy I was demi and we'd probably develop attraction at different rates. I'm not upset that he wanted to split, so much as upset that my religious trauma makes it SO hard to become intimate w/ ppl.

I'm thrilled to hear the news! I'm currently reading book 38, and on track to finish the series and have my fan-fiction written by June, the 30th anniversary of the book series. I do take issue with them calling morphing animals "body horror" though, hahaha

The most unrealistic aspect of the Yeerk invasion of Earth is their adoption and use of the Imperial system of measurement. Andalites too; the thing Aximili gets most hung up on are "YOUR minutes" and not miles or ounces? I'll fix that in my fan-fiction.
