ISER welcomes the Cabinet’s landmark decision to expand SAGE eligibility age from 80yrs to 65yrs, and to increase the transfer value from UGX 25,000 to UGX 35,000. This is a step toward aligning with Uganda’s National Social Protection Policy, which defines an older person as 60 years and above.
