A white garment with some kind of food stain. Humiliating.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

Here is an easy solution:

Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.

Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.

Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.

Is left and right useful anymore or do we need a need a new political alignment? With One Nation fracturing the right and embracing elements of left-wing policies, are 'left' and 'right' even useful anymore or do we need a different spectrum?

Do “left” and “right” even mean anything any more, or is it time for a different political spectrum for our fragmenting politics? www.crikey.com.au/2026/03/24/l...

I understand governing is hard, and it's way easier to be in opposition (see PHON)... But still, it feels like it was all a ruse

I haven't been in Australia long enough to have all the background... But my opinion of Albo has fallen more and more on my opinion.. gezz since the voice failure is like he became a husk of himself

It's better to have more voices i guess. I just don't get why Labor seems to be so craven. I understand things are hard, but as silly as this may sound, they seemed to be as much beholden to react to the BS Sussan Ley was pulling as if the liberals were actually in decent shape.

That's the annoying thing right there. As the juice media put it, Labor is turning out to be "shitfuckery light"

Well, I find extremely distressing how easy people seem to shift towards the racists though. Even if they end up with no seats, I will always find any increase on votes for them alarming

Look, I never heard that one. The most common one where I used to live was "comi até o cu fazer bico" ;)

As a right hander, I wish I could use both like some of my left handed friends.

The whole notion of correcting that is absurd

Still think they should not divulge faces and let these people disappear without the fame they crave

I dare say, the way things are going they are going down on my preference card... Thankfully we have that system here

The muted response to the Perth bombing exposes a pattern of national indifference

Opinion | Reporting about the Perth attempted bombing spoke in the voice of bureaucracy, as if describing a traffic incident. There was no shock, no reckoning, no pause, @mrdtjames.bsky.social writes.

Yep, and i hope it continues that way.

Well, the moderate right wing indeed is shattered, the alt right unfortunately is not, although it's a bit messy atm. It remains to be seen, but thankfully I guess, the US saber rattling tends to cause the bad right to go poorly.

Worries me to see that though, my previous experience in Brazil leads me to believe that it strengthens then alt right lunatics

Fair enough. It's hard to disagree with people on social media though without making it messy ;)

Sometimes it's indeed very hard... I remember a situation here in Sydney where me and my mates went to a Portuguese butcher, he said something how he liked how Brazilians and Portuguese people could understand each other, "unlike the Spanish", and went on talking... We hardly understood him :|
