With our current ferry service not operating as intended, it’s hard to not daydream about a future (say 2030?) where FAST & FREE Dartmouth-Halifax ferry service exists.

Downtown Halifax should be maximizing our greatest asset year-round!

Hi Sara. Yes, we have the plan, we just need the decision makers to run with it. It seems to come down to budget (like everything right now.) We've been told the HRM staff report is complete...just waiting to see it. I believe May is the month we've been given now. @lecwhite.bsky.social ?

Have you seen one of our newest Gritty to Pretty murals, "Future Rhythms" by Daramfon Morgan? You can find this stunning piece on the side of the former Waverley Inn on Barrington Street, and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. 🎨

Did you know August is Downtowns and Main Streets Month?

Downtowns and main streets are the heart of our communities and home to local businesses. Downtown Halifax is vibrant and welcoming because of the local businesses and community members who make it a great place to be.❤️

Out exploring Downtown Halifax? Be sure to look for the new public art installed as part of Gritty to Pretty's 10 Year Anniversary.
