I've never quite been able to capture it in words. I guess the way I'd put it is: the world in which people can see this story & simply nod & move on with their days & continue treating Trump like a respectable political figure is a world that operates on rules I fundamentally don't understand.
Yet again, the thought: how is this not embarrassing to him, to his followers, to everyone? How is this revelation alone not enough to end his career, to make him a universal figure of mockery? How can anyone support, or respect, or fear someone so viscerally *pathetic*?
