Here's my vision for "The Pit" season 2: It's 6 months later, Christmas/Hannukah time, meaning the interns have all continued to grow. (Hopefully including Santos) "Fun" plot is figuring out who had who for Secret Santa. The devastating event is a huge storm and the hospital running with no power.

I’m going to try to share more of my sewing projects here! These are some of my recent makes, clearly inspired by the warming weather. All of the fabric is second hand and I’m particularly a fan of the two 1960s prints.
Spelling Bee nerds know we have finally won and gotten NYT Games to include an “s.”
For @slate.bsky.social I wrote about my mini @lecreuset.bsky.social and how it gave me a sense of the enviable homemaking lifestyle largely unattainable for perennial renting millennials. slate.com/life/2025/02...
I really want to go back and watch now, having dropped into season three with no context.
Also, this @out.com article by @bernardosim.com captured this dynamic better than me. www.out.com/commentary/t...
Totally agree. Also interesting how the hangers on who don’t fit into one of the two camps (Franco brother, Spears’s ex and British royal) are navigating it.
Wow did I get immediately sucked into The Traitors and the intersection of different reality TV worlds both relevant and past their prime (Housewives and Drag Race vs. Survivor and Big Brother). The latter (which skew more male) keeps overestimating the former, unclear yet if rightly or wrongly.
Had to switch from my American to French number to be able to use TikTok with a new account. Rebuilding the FYP from scratch feels like when you’ve been working on a piece of writing for hours and then forget to click save before closing it.
All the good karma to the Delta agent who was so devastated I couldn’t bring a 5-pound bag of dried mango back to France that she let me check a second bag for free.
And here are the previous two issues of the Jack Frank Review!
My dad @widely.bsky.social is a big reader, and for 3 years I’ve created a Jack Frank Review of Books mag. This year, I switched it up with a curiosity box. In addition to miniatures of the 167 books he read in 2024 (with his review and star rating), friends and family members added in knickknacks.

My latest newsletter is tips and tricks on starting a craft night. I chatted with Alexa Kari, who runs Material Grrrlz (www.materialgrrrlz.com), one of the UK's biggest craft groups, about building an IRL and virtual community concurrently and the power of connecting through textile arts.
Took less than five minutes in the U.S. to really feel like I’m back.
I can’t get over how similar the official Comté and Taco Bell logos are.
Who said the French don’t have a sense of humor?
KNITTING?!
Even Thanksgiving in France has a photobombing cousin.
Snow (and of course construction) in Paris.
Thanks so much!
For my latest newsletter I wrote about indie fashion designers turning to creating sewing patterns as a stable and creative career pathway. Selling ethical, well-made garments is a difficult business and the rise in home sewers can offer a more sustainable market. open.substack.com/pub/sewyouha...
I did!
Hello to friends new and old! As a short intro, I’m a journalist living in Paris who is also passionate about making my own clothes. I have a newsletter all about sewing and am always happy to write about textile arts and culture more broadly: open.substack.com/pub/sewyouha...
For @JSTOR_Daily I wrote about how a radical theory of how to more intentionally move through the physical world might just make our lives (and that of others) a bit better. daily.jstor.org/walkers-in-t...
