Another (mostly) new SNES built using @starlightk7.bsky.social OpenSFC project! The purple PCB is probably my favorite color, and translucent shell is a great way to display this project

Very nice 🤩

The SNES itself has lots of parts but we've had a handful of people just make a goal of doing a small section each weekend and then finishing it over a month or two. Sometimes slow and steady wins the race 😄

I'm working on the GPM currently, though this is the better board to build - it has the highest video and audio quality for a 2 chip.

You can convert a GPM to SHVC but you need to use 2.0mm pitch pin headers for the sound connector.

That's a fine looking build, enjoy 😄

Absolutely floored with the @starlightk7.bsky.social #SuperFamicom boards @fenriswolfretro.bsky.social sent my way. They’re beautiful! The attention to detail, the matching red caps on the bottom, the component output… GOD DAMN!
To think I sent the blank PCBs to Fenris as a prank to trigger him…😂

You can make a variety of cool controllers with the #OpenSFC controller PCBs.

Here are some sample builds. And it's a pretty beginner friendly project 😃

With stock pads everything is good, assuming the pads are in good condition. As you said aftermarket pads can be hit or miss, I've bought a few different brands to line up for testing.
