Yesterday, the House passed a ban on social media accounts for kids under 14. I support the intent — but I voted “No” because the legislation didn’t include best practices for data privacy or data minimization. It would enable Big Tech to retain your driver’s license and biometric data indefinitely.

I think the whole concept of age verification just isn't workable if there's going to be any privacy.
Everybody having to give government ID to use social media sites is a terrible idea:
1. Much more likely Trump regime gets access to people's identity.
2. Targeted advertising.
3. Censorship of people who need privacy.
4. The companies doing this keep leaking the documents, leading to ID theft.
