Is that little silver guy the alien from Disney’s Chicken Little
By all means!
Are you looking just for creators / designers bc if not I am a Chicago based TTRPG person
I KNEW IT
I’m tired of pretending Shakespeare isn’t absolutely peak

CRASHOUT FOR THE AGES
Immediately followed by the most banging orchestral arrangement you’ve ever heard
from what I can gather from the first ep of his new podcast, a lot of it is about the lore and exploration side of Dark Souls! Created at the table together ofc so it is still Brindlewood engine for sure
I think Jason Cordova is designing this exact game right now with The Lands Remaining
That’s amazing; makes me feel even better about buying the Normal Briefcase that now sits on my shelf!
When a whale is sharing a genuinely heartbreaking thing that happened to them but their subtitles are in Papyrus font
The concept of "magic systems" has done irreparable damage to fantasy fiction
Excellent read. I played some Lancer last year and I found the in between RP sessions to always be the more compelling stuff- out game was “not about the robots“ too but as a consequence, a lot of the combats lost luster when we tried to put a narrative spin that the system doesn’t support
Uhhh wow this looks insanely good. I might need to add this to my late pledge for MoSh month
1) Masks: The New Generation- Easy to pick up story driven PbTA that is an easy genre touchstone
2) Wildsea: For its imaginative world and character-forward engine
3) Mythic Bastionland: For some fantasy flavor that is way more rich and textured than 5e
4) Mothership: Cuz it’s fuckin’ awesome
Mythic Bastionland…? 👀
2-panel comic about two guys lamenting about modern games whilst refusing to acknowledge indie games
This is an amazing write up and I’m thrilled to have made the header image haha
My advice: don’t be afraid to be a background character is some scenes, ”Yes And” is huge to making other players feel important and seen, and follow your impulses to check out the weird side stuff people are making themselves. I missed so many things because I was so focused on big events
Ey, check it out, mack. I'm a friggin' dog. Solidarity forever, palookas, and remember: the Union makes us strong.
