Something about the NASA astronauts suggesting names for the newly discovered craters and peopleās reaction to it reminds me that there is still good here. No matter how much Donald Trump wants to destroy goodness and empathy and care⦠thereās still some fucking good here.

Got out of the meeting to news that someone on my caseload passed away this morning. Someone I spent a lot of time with and got to know them and their family really well. This is the tough part of this job.
So⦠basically Iām going to burn all of my PTO pretty soon. Iām⦠spent.
So I woke up and stressed out immediately because people were already getting on my case about the technical side of things. Went to meeting for someone who has shown VAST improvement over the last couple of years, so I got to pump him up a little bit.
I work in the field I work in because I truly care about the people I support. I want them to get the proper care they need and to be treated like human beings in the process. Itās the paperwork and inner office side of things that I hate and thatās the part that usually causes me stress.
Kinda crazy how I went from feeling stress-free and happy to be alive this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to instantly wanting to jump off a cliff as soon as I woke up today to check my work phone.
Maybe thatās a sign.
The epilogue is usually the button to the end of the story. What happens next? Where does life go for these characters? These posts from people saying they skip them HAVE to be kidding, right?
This āprologueā and āepilogueā discourse is the stupidest fucking thing. How can these idiots not comprehend that these are essential to the story? Think of it as a movie or TV show ā the prologue is the cold open. In Law and Order, that cold open sets up everything you are about to read.
Somebody else answered that it depends on the day. Totally true. My favorite band of all time! I would say todayās pick is The Millionaire Waltz!
We really were spoiled for movies in 2025, so I canāt be mad at how things shook out. Iām just so happy all of these wonderful films exist.
Iām seriously happy for all the Sinners wins on Sunday as each one of them has an incredible story, but Iāve been locked in for a long time and MBJās win, speech, and general demeanor on Oscar night made me cry.
Listen, I donāt know him and maybe this is just the haze Iām in being a fan for so long and am so damned happy he got his win, but Michael B. Jordan strikes me as the kind of guy that greets everyone by name on a set or at a function and just⦠radiates a truly positive vibe.
Someone had an Oscar Bingo card posted and I saw a couple of options that made me go, āNo way thoseāll happen.ā
Conan said 6 - 7 and Grogu appeared.
Sigh.
The full performance of āI Lied To Youā from āSINNERSā at the 98th Oscars.
#Sinners #Oscars2026
Oscar plans fell apart and instead⦠Iām in my own personal hell.
The hairy leg from The Secret Agent has arrived at the Oscars
Watching a popular YouTuber do a MST3K-style watch of a bad movie and they didnāt get a Mulder and Scully reference.
Am I really this old, or is there really this big of a pop culture disconnect between generations?
I know itās not cool to say, especially as I get older, but I think I would like one of those. Even just one more moment like that in my life would fill my cup.
I know this isnāt the time or place for this, but just got filled with envy for a crazy intimate scene in Killer of Sheep. Two people dancing as she embraces him fully, her hands caressing his skin tenderly as they dance. There is a kiss at the end and they part ways, her longing for more.
Itās a delight!

Tough that three out of the five main high school football players in this movie have now passed away.
The poster for 1999ās Varsity Blues.
Now watching: Varsity Blues
Well that was fucking great.
I wonder how Phil Collins feels knowing his beautiful love song is now associated with a commercial about pee.
Hereās this weekās episode of 2 Cents Critic! @fatdudedigsflicks.bsky.social rejoins us for Dead Again, the 1991 neo-noir romantic thriller that gets us talking about Kenneth Branagh as a director and showing appreciation for the tropes of amnesia and hypnotism. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/2...
Canāt watch it now tonight, but did see that Jurassic World: Rebirth has the dumbest opening text I have seen in awhile:
āDinosaurs have been back for 37 years. Humans have lost interest in them.ā
Are you fucking nuts? I still get excited when I see a squirrel. We would NOT be over dinosaurs.
Just saw someone with a Captain America profile picture make a pro-ICE, pro-Trump comment on social media.
Media literacy is at an all time low. Cap would knock you the fuck out.
With everything going on in the world, it feels so lame to say, āHow do I meet someone these days? Iām feeling lonely and would like to click with someone,ā but alas, itās true. Just another factor adding to my overall general mood.
