Transforms is such an important feature in #infrahub. Bringing the data transformations closer to the data creates a cleaner boundary between all the tools in a way that makes it easier to manage schema updates and overall software upgrades.

As a community, we’re only as strong as the foundations we rely on.
That’s why it’s so important to help keep these foundations healthy and maintained.
#SupportOpenSource is a call to action:
If you use open source, consider giving back.

Our industry stands on the shoulders of individuals that are putting a lot of their personal time into maintaining critical projects.
They don’t complain, they don’t ask anything. Unfortunately many projects go unmaintained because it’s too big of an effort.

It’s easy to forget how much we rely on open source. It’s harder to ask: Are we doing our part to keep it alive?

Instead of handing out swag at #autocon3, we’re donating to open source projects for every person who gets their email register at our booth. It’s a small step, but it’s a start.

This is a good reminder that for an industry that is moving so fast, we have an underinvestment in training that is really crazy when you think about it.
It feels to me that my friends outside of the tech industry have a lot more training than we do !!

Great first day at #autocon3, lots of great discussions with new and old friends.
with the @opsmill.bsky.social team we ran a workshop on data modeling and network source of truth in the afternoon, the room was packed and there was a lot of interest for modeling and for Infrahub, super exciting.

Have you ever tried building a Terraform provider for a dynamic schema? @marcom4rtinez.bsky.social did!

Marco created a strategy to generate tailored Terraform providers for dynamic Infrahub schemas, detailing the build and usage process in two blog posts.

I think people that use open-source greatly underestimate the time involved in doing releases and fixing CI-CD. "Just do a release for it"...seven hours later :-)

A friend of mine at a company I think highly of is hiring for a developer evangelist role. The right person (you?) is excellent in a public-facing role and deeply knowledgable about network automation. If you’d like to know more, DM me. The role is not being publicly advertised.

I still need to do some prompt template engineering. The result is okay, but the agent did not use the provided tool as I intended. xD
