While I was in Aotearoa/NZ and observing the scenery, it was not lost on me how the crowd that co-ops Tolkien for white supremacy and praises the movies for adhering to that narrative, are obsessed with visuals that aren’t even in Europe. Not even the same hemisphere. And on colonized land at that.
