#MarkFrost Interview Coming Soon!
Thanks, Mark. Appreciate you taking the time to answer fan questions.
Would've been wild!
Excerpt from Mark Altman's book, TWIN PEAKS: BEHIND THE SCENES, about William S. Burroughs almost being cast as Mayor Milford's brother, Dougie.
Reading Mark Altman's Twin Peaks book from 1990 and never heard this bit anywhere else before.
William S. Burroughs as Dougie Milford would absolutely color how I read Milford's backstory in THE SECRET HISTORY!
Wonder if @markfrost.bsky.social or @harleypeyton.bsky.social could confirm or deny?
Mine would be, "Who's the lady with the log?"
Hat tip to @floradoraflor.bsky.social and the Full Blossom of the Evening podcast for their Tati episode. Check it out!
Images from Tati's MON ONCLE and David Lynch's WILD AT HEART and MULHOLLAND DRIVE.
If you're wondering why people are carrying red plastic hoses in the backgrounds of WILD AT HEART and MULHOLLAND DRIVE, now you know.
Criterion Collection cover for Jacques Tati's MON ONCLE (1958).
Rewatched Jacques Tati's MON ONCLE and my face actually hurts from smiling. Pure joy. No wonder Lynch loved his work so much.
The Log Lady sits in a booth at the Double R Diner in Twin Peaks.
I never put the two together before!
That's really beautiful. 💙
I read a lot of those as a kid!
Just finished a 1996 book on the rise of "quality TV" that concludes, "Twin Peaks had an overall negative effect on the quality drama." Accepted wisdom at the time maybe, but its monumental impact on the "golden age" boom from The Sopranos onward cannot be denied today.
"But I already had AI psychosis yesterday, ChatGPT!"
Oh, no. Best wishes for you and the little one both. 🐾♥️
Haven't seen this in ages, but loved its Twilight Zone pastiche and overt references. Will definitely pick this up!
And now YOU are Alice Tremond, Mary. What an honor!
When The Return was originally airing, someone asked on Twitter what spin-off shows we would like to see. I said, "FUSCO PATROL (IN COLOR)." For some odd reason, that broke containment and became my most popular post ever on that (now godforsaken) platform.
Life is full of mysteries, Donna...
Does that guy ever sleep? Almost impossible to keep up with his output these days!
“Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen.”

Me trying to log into Bluesky
Bluesky today has been like trying to tune in rabbit ears on a vintage TV.
Look it up, kids.
The height of fashion (circa 1991)!
Loved the Ben Stiller Show and, of course, Mr. Show. But Odenkirk will forever be "Manson" to me.
"I got the eye of the tiger and I don't know who to kill first!"
Dang, even the Ben Stiller Show, huh? Looking forward to it!
