That's a slippery slope
Makes sense I guess. Though it would drive me mad too eventually
I find anything like that treads a fine line between being creepy and extremely annoying
I've seen this done on peoples bookshelves and it looks good, but a book shop is a bit extreme, how you supposed to find anything?
I could never do that bit from High Fidelity where he starts to arrange his records 'autobiographically' ie in order of purchase
Yeah, that's a great clip
His voice is fully formed right there isn't it!

I saw some film once of some daft idiots who thought it'd be a good idea to set a bull's horns alight at a festival. Bull took the nearest guy, debagged him and flipped him around balls-out for a few minutes. All with one horn. Textbook
I once searched for this compilation by name and actually got a warning from Google with a set of hotline numbers if I was worried I needed to speak to anybody
I actually knew it (in the back of my 'heard it on the Top 40' young mind) before the Love version. FIrst time I heard the original "Ah, of course, it's this one"
I take it as - it seemed easy at first but ended up being more complex once you got into it
You'll soon be able to chop it down to just the "Do de doo do doodle-ee doo" backing vocal refrain and she'll still know what you're doing
I love the extended version
I love the way Dave navigates the vocal on WR. He's not Grace Slick so doesn't try to emulate her, if the line is rising a bit too high for his range, he switches it down into another place (without it sounding contrived). It's a masterclass in making a song your own without wrecking the original
Known more for their association with The Geoff Jonestown Massacre
They also did White Rabbit and Alone Again Or and I love them both - they completely make White Rabbit their own, some sort of zonked out acid punker - and I knew their version of the Love track before I heard Forever Changes
He's got a few more years yet
(TBH, those brown leather pants he had in the early 70s were a gift from Danny Sugarman and belonged to Jim Morrison - must have been some retailoring going on there)

Yep, checks out on wiki
Now he's gonna be seventy nine
I say oh my, don't time fly...
Reminds me of the Steven Wright joke "I'm gonna buy a humidifier and a dehumidifier, put them in the same room and let them battle it out"
Post you, in another country.
Best story about Sweet Slag, they were told they'd never get anywhere with a name like that. So they dropped the Sweet

The Damned - Eloise
The Damned are one of those bands where you can be sure that their covers will be chosen and performed meticulously - often like they were original Damned songs in the first place - and this is no exception

DEREK: That’s right...absolutely right. I mean, we could take those projects that we thought, you know, we didn’t have
time for....
DAVID: Oh, there’s dozens, there’s so many dozens of projects.
DEREK: You know, we didn’t have time for ‘em because of Tap and bring ‘em back to life maybe.
