Hell yeah. I love an oatmeal raisin. Especially home made and still warm.

Riding SEPTA Commuter rail is like this and it's so nice and easy. Tap through the gate at 30th st station and then tap at the station when you get off. It's wild that the MTA can't or refuses to do this.

New York Sign Museum The New York Sign Museum is a foundation dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of advertising and signage in New York City and the surrounding areas.

Have you been to the NY Sign Museum? They have quite a neat collection. I went on a tour last year and found it really fascinating. nysignmuseum.org

A plane wide game of Bolo sounds like a lot of fun.

Macintosh IIci running Netscape Navigator 2.02 loading up an article about the SNES.

Ah! It's looking good now. There's some text encoding difficulties around accents and some punctuation "the SNES's chip", but that's era appropriate too.

This is a real joy to browse.

No luck with Netscape 2.02, just gives me a network error. I also tried upgrading to Netscape 3, but the request times out.

I suspect an http / virtual server issue? frogfind works great, and I can use their converter to view the site.

I'll keep poking at it and see if I can get it working.

Ah okay so it's spitting out G Code or something like that. Very cool though. I love seeing old machines getting to do something.

Cool! What kind of software / interface does it all use?

Amazing news! Are they also smoothing out the on ramp from the south on Clinton St? It's so awkward.

Love RSS. I'm using NetNewsWire on my mac. It's not fancy, but does everything it needs to.

That pullout printer drawer is pretty slick.

I also enjoy Norm's comment about the CRT "Don't they make these any smaller?" Just you wait Norm.

The output from WGBH has been quite impressive. This Old House, Nova, Masterpiece, The French Chief. Not to mention helping develop and expand closed captioning!

So much of my childhood was seeing that glowing logo accompanied by some wild synth sounds.

The inside of a SEPTA commuter rail car. The inside has been decorated with string lights, snowflake decals, merry christmas signs, and garlands. It's quite excessive, but very charming!

A different view of the same decorated car. There's a large-ish artificial Christmas tree at the front seat. It's extensively decorated with ornaments and lights. There are also stockings hung by the operator cab. Again, this is on a commuter rail car!

In 2022 I found myself on a SEPTA train with an inside decked out to the nines for Christmas. Including an tree in the first row with lights, ribbons and ornaments. Also stockings, presumably for the train operator? It was quite a surprise!

Oh they're magnetic keys? I've never seen those before, how neat! (broken reed aside) Were they very common?

Gives you more storage for your Sony Mavica digital camera. It normally used floppy disks, but with this adapter you could take a lot more photos.

Family friend had one and it was pretty cool at the time!

I was originally planning on waiting for the M5 or M6 to upgrade to from my M1 Air. Now with the awful margins I'm considering buying a refurb M4 and waiting it out for a couple years.

Very excited for it. It'll look great next to the fully reconnected Grand Army Plaza.

I'm quite worried though the Adams will try and water it down like he has every other project.

There's another Think C editor patcher called PopUpFuncs. It doesn't use Think C's extension, but it does support its own. macintoshgarden.org/apps/popupfu...

"At a suitable transfer station." Isn't the point of asking for directions is to actually be told where to transfer? Not that I would *ever* ask anything of it, but I love the hand wave around the important bit.

A photo of 14th St Union Square station. It's from above the local downtown track, a 6 train is coming in around the curved platform. People are waiting on the platform. There is a fenced in walkway above where people are walking too.

Yep! This photo here isn't an exact match, but it shows the curved track and the upper walkway of Union Square. From: www.nycsubway.org/perl/show?11...
