Just visited Joshua Tree and stood on the exact rock used for the Vision Pro environment scan 🌴

The rocks lined up perfectly

I genuinely couldn't tell where reality ended and visionOS began...

One of the most surreal experiences I've had 🤯

Apple absolutely nailed it. 🙌🏻

Want to add an echo to your immersive space? Adjusting the audio to match the environment is a power component which can make the user feel more immersed. Add it through Reality Composer Pro or via RealityKit ReverbComponent

I’ve just launched a small project called Spatial Moments.

It’s a place where I’m documenting experiments, ideas, and thoughts around spatial design and spatial computing.

Still very early, but excited to explore where this goes.

This is awesome!! Do you think it’s possible to provide a custom aspect ratio for the portal?

We can use .immersiveEnvironmentBehavior(.coexist) to allow our immersive spaces to blend in with system environments.

This demo serves as proof that I am not a serious person.

You know I live volumetric apps so I was glad when my friend @jaytwob.bsky.social launched Patito last week. Now I can do rubber ducky development whenever I'm in my headset.

Spatial SwiftUI: Using Look to Scroll We can let users look to scroll with the Scroll Input Behavior modifier.

This is a very underrated feature for visionOS! Check out the @stepinto.vision example code for the Scroll Input Behavior modifier. Very easy to include to your existing visionOS app

Apple hosted three visionOS workshops in December: NYC, Berlin, and London. It just occurred to me that we had community members from Step Into Vision and the Shared Visions Project at all three events! If you're working with Apple Vision Pro, you'll run into us eventually.

The first article on Step Into Vision was posted weeks before the site went live. I kicked things off with a series of examples covering Windows, Volumes, and Spaces. This one was about openWindow and dismissWindow

RealityKit experiment #83
(code in the replies)

This example turns the Logitech Muse into a virtual laser pen for point-to-point measurements. The surface intersection point is determined by raycasting along the stylus' aim-origin vector against the scene reconstruction meshes

Yesterday was a huge milestone (pun intended). Completed a half marathon AND submitted my app for review. This time last year I don’t think I would have been able to build and ship an iOS app or run a half marathon. Both challenging in their own way but totally worth it
