Am I tripping or is this the only really exciting part about the SteamFrame? An ARM64 build of Steam/SteamVR (running steam under Asahi Linux on an Apple Silicon mac could be huge!)

It feels underwhelming that it doesn't support base station tracking.

One small thing, you really don't need to restart steamvr for this, all you need to do is have all your stuff off, unplug any dongles, pair controllers, keep them on, they occupy the slots to pair on the headset, then plug your dongle(s) in and pair trackers
