Anat Rubin and I co-wrote a story for @calmatters.org about the people behind Sheriff Chad Bianco's "election investigation" -- sovereign citizens, Christian nationalists, and "constitutional sheriffs."

Facebook and Meta are now just straight up pushing white supremacist content into your timeline.
Meta/Facebook is pushing overt Nazi propaganda to regular user feeds.
Camp of the Saints is irredeemable white supremacist garbage and no surprise a favorite book of Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon and nationalist racists around the world. www.npr.org/2019/11/19/7...

X the paperback of The Camp of the Saints is back on Amazon after a public outcry when it was taken down for unclear reasons. This caused me to notice that by a wide margin I have what is rated the most helpful review lol (including a few typos) It is on back order because sales have only been driven, but nevertheless you should order a copy https://a.co/d/0c4zxymO B. Pearce ***** Incredible text, impressive new translation Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2025 Format: Paperback Verifled Purchase I had never read The Camp of the Saints before, though have been on the right for a long time so had heard it referenced repeatedly. I came in somewhat skeptical being a literature snob and knowing the challenges of writing a good political novel. This exceeded all of my expectations. This Is much more than a fable about mass immigration, It is about how we have lost confidence in ourselves and been consumed with suicidal empathy, restructuring our societies around shame of the past instead of pride in who we are while taking a clear-eyed approach to our historic shortcomings. The thematic depth and breadth of this novel and the author's keen insights will stick with your for life. Aspects of this would not seem believable if one had not lived through recent events, most of all the summer of 2020. The whole novel is populated with the sorts of characters you have seen your whole life- ultra wealthy resentful minorities, clueless do-gooders, haters of the commonplace, nihilistic priests, sniveling politicians, etc. The journey of the migrant fleet is a fable, but the portrayal of the society towards which it travels is distressingly realistic. This is a text which should be read by everyone, and it is sad to see it historically mostly restricted to a racialist, anti-immigration fringe of the right wing. It should be noted the book itself is not particularly r…

What sign of collapse is it when Facebook is promoting to regular timelines the extreme white supremacist trash novel Camp of the Saints via a random account with very little following?

Ara’s out as mayor! HOA leaders are big mad about a candidate forum and more updates from Tuesday’s city council meeting in the latest post:
"There is no justification for a regressive system in which the super-rich contribute less than the rest of us," write @josephestiglitz.bsky.social, @gabrielzucman.bsky.social, and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social.
Disgraced insurrectionist former lawyer John Eastman remains a board member at a local private religious school and will continue to be paid likely enormous sums to advise the segregationists and “America Caesar” proponents of the Claremont institute
Who knew HOAs were the most delicate snowflakes around?
This forum has the usual freaks’ panties all in a bunch! An account allegedly run by Ara Najarian’s sister Maro Yacoubian claims that the forum’s description (which accurately notes Glendale’s candidate forums are otherwise hosted by HOAs) is somehow “disparaging” + attacks the city clerk.
Definitely glad because of the chaos it’s causing within the party and also bc a concern was Hilton appealing to undecided voters or low-info “moderates.” Now he’s tainted and Bianco’s a freak. Dem field still a mess but Republican split creates some breathing room.
Dennis Feitosa Instagram post showing him, wearing an America First hat and holding up his index finger, with Emilio Maritinez, David Serpa, Corrin rankin and two other women. A commenter on the post “alyssalovesamerica” says: photo with Corrin in the America first hat is hilarious 😂
At this weekend’s GOP convention noise was made about the party not being a home for groypers/nationalists, despite Dennis Feitosa, Emilio Martinez, David Serpa attending, making content, + interacting with attendees of every level- including here posing w/ state party chairperson Corrin Rankin
Los Angeles peeps! Local MAGA craziness in the Glendale races. 👇👇
CAGOP was unable to reach a consensus so neither Steve Hilton nor Chad Bianco received their party endorsement, intensifying the chaos as Trump-endorsed Hilton is largely rejected by the right wing grassroots in favor of oathkeeper sheriff Bianco.
After CAGOP made a lot of noise about America 1st/groypers not being welcome in the party Dennis Feitosa, David Serpa and other far right nationalist candidates seemed extremely at home at the state GOP convention this weekend, with Feitosa getting Ted Cruz to say “Christ is king” on camera.
Lifelong political operative/ALEC cofounder Lou Barnett wants you to think SOCIALISM is going to be forced on you by BIKE LANES! If neighborhood Facebook groups didn’t convince you the Red Scare is alive and well in Glendale, an octogenarian’s desperate campaign email might!
Please ask candidate their position on free speech for local blogs 🤣
May the Fourth, be with the people!

Paying attention to this… will the MAGA faction trying to run on nimby car-brained homeowners as special class issues even show up? Good on local progressives @glendaleout.bsky.social for trying to hold them accountable.

“The ‘Rally Round the flag effect” is a natural political phenomenon” how can anyone take this person seriously?
Elizabeth Barcohana Instagram post sharing her own Twitter posts: Elizabeth Barcohana @E_Barcoh... 2h = The "Rally Around The Flag" Effect is a natural political phenomenon that occurs when a nation unifies in a time of crisis or war around its leader. The reason we aren't seeing it after an epic rescue is bc the Left (including the media) has TDS and the Retard Right has IDS.
